紀元前から20世紀までの彫刻についてカラー写真も収録して詳細に解説した本書、この価格で入手できるのは驚きで、極めてコストパフォーマンスが高いと思います。なお、本書の表紙をめくって前書きもなくPART 1がでてきますが、これは発行データにあるように1986年から1991年にかけて発行された４冊（下記のPART 1〜4に対応）が単純に合本されたことによります。
